Experience Wachau
Furth could also be called the gateway to the Wachau, because our picturesque town is still in the Kremstal wine-growing region, but looks directly into one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Central Europe, which has gained worldwide fame not only for excellent apricots, but of course for its unique wines. With two wine-growing regions right on our doorstep, there is a lot to experience here. Whether on foot, by bike or by car - there are countless possibilities for excursions.
Krems is just around throw away on the other bank of the Danube, the Wachau is at your doorstep, Melk is not far and directly above our house you can marvel at the Benedictine monastery of Göttweig. In short: you should spend several days with us, because there is a lot to see and admire. If you prefer to take it a little easier, you can also relax in our beautiful garden. In our house we offer some wines from the region. We will put you in touch with a winemaker on site for wine tastings and direct sales.
If you are interested in rental bikes, ask at reception for our recommendations for bike rentals, exploring our surroundings by bike is the best way to get to know Furth and the surrounding sights!
Around our home you will find numerous beautiful castles and palaces as well as museums and sights. Furth is located in the so-called "Ur-Österreich", also known as Ostarrichi, which is why cultural events are very important to us!
